Sunshine and Smiles

What sunshine is to flowers,

smiles are to humanity.

These are but trifles, to be sure,

but, scattered along life's pathway,

the good they do is inconceivable.
-- By Joseph Addison

Some unexpected projects didn't leave me with a lot of time. So, I'll just share the Joseph Addison quote and photos. Hope your day is filled with flowers and smiles.

(Instead of sunshine, I'm not-so-secretly hoping for a little rain. That would put a smile on the face of a wheat farmer I know.)

  1. Amazing pictures, Kim!

Hope you have a great weekend! Sounds like we are sorting off replacement heifers and giving them a shot tomorrow.

Getting a few showers and sounds like warm temps coming up.

    1. Thanks Robyn! We are sorting baby calves and mamas today and hauling them to different pastures. We have another day of that this week, too.

  3. I loved this, Kim, especially your ground shot of the tulips as you look upwards towards Stafford Methodist Church! That photo made me think of how a belief in God gives an inner joy allowing one to smile despite one's circumstances. Hope you were able to accomplish every thing you needed to do yesterday and were still smiling when you fell into bed last night!

    1. Orlena Allen planted the flower beds at the church. I have so enjoyed the beauty there! We will definitely miss them in our church family.
