"Dressed" for Success

There's a song in the musical, Annie, that reminds us of an important accessory for our overall "look" for the day. It says, "You're never fully dressed without a smile."

Who cares what they're wearing
On Main Street of Saville Row

It's what you wear from ear to ear
And not from head to toe.
That matters

Remember you're never fully dressed
Though you may wear the best
You're never fully dressed
Without a smile.

This smile says it all.

Or maybe this smile says it all.

Or it could be this one.

Or it could be found on this Grandpa's face as he has a conversation with a special little girl.

We spent the weekend in Topeka for Kinley's baptism. Stay tuned: There may be another photo or two I'll share from this weekend.

I won't share all 129. I promise. But I do miss this sweet little face this morning.

That face makes me smile.

  1. That face makes ME smile, but so does yours, Grandma. It's impossible to explain how such a tiny little person can influence so many people with just a little grin, but they do!

  2. Thanks Jerri! You are right: It is amazing that 10 pounds of baby has such a profound effect on everyone! I couldn't believe how much she had changed in just a month. We are enjoying grandparenthood just like you are!
