Grandpa's Girls

Grandpa had some help with his birthday blowout last Thursday.
The blowers may not have been particularly effective, but they were sure cute. Kinley's method appeared more blowing in than out, but with the three of them working together, they eventually got the job done - twice!

Jill made a yummy meal. Eric helped with clean-up duty so we could play with the girls. And Brent drove over from Manhattan. It wasn't my birthday, but it felt like a present to me, too, for all of us to be together.
I thought Grandpa's Duck Dynasty beard might scare Kinley. But she helped him put it on, and all was well. He enjoyed sitting on their front porch and blowing his duck call for the visiting trick-or-treaters.

Brooke was pretty much unimpressed with both birthday and Halloween. But just wait until next year!

I will have lots more from Halloween. Yes, I may have taken a picture or two (or 176, if you want to get technical).

But duty calls: We are moving cattle from the Ninnescah today and my services are requested. I'm afraid it's going to be a windy, cold and dirty day. Here goes!

  1. Looks like you had a fun weekend and Grandpa was spoiled for his birthday.

    Good Luck moving cattle.

We had a beautiful weekend and the wind is back with cooler temps today. We are weaning calves Tuesday morning and shipping a load of steers Wednesday morn.

  2. It went better than it sometimes does. It was kind of dirty because of the wind and it sprinkled on us a few times. Today, we just hauled home the calves and a neighbor's bull that was in with ours. The vet will come on Wednesday and we'll work them and also preg-check some cows the guys moved last week. We'll round up the mamas at the Ninnescah later this week. We didn't have a place to put them until the others have their vet visit. Good luck with your cattle duties this week, too, Robyn!
