Farewell to October

I couldn't resist just a few more fall photos and quotes as we say goodbye to October and hello to November:

Fall has always been my favorite season.
The time when everything bursts with its last beauty,
as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.
--Lauren DeStefano, Wither

I took the top photo through the tree stump in the foreground. Yes, I'm glad there is no photo of me taking that photo!
Never say there is nothing beautiful in the world anymore.
There is always something to make you wonder
in the shape of a tree, the trembling of a leaf.
 –Albert Schweitzer

I love autumn, the one season of the year
that God seems to have put there just for the beauty of it.
 -- Lee Maynard
As I looked closely at a tree, I marveled that there were leaves at every stage - from green to yellow to brown and shriveled. It's kind of a metaphor for life, isn't it?!

Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.
--Emily Bronte

Autumn mornings:
sunshine and crisp air,
birds and calmness,
year's end and day's beginnings.
 ~Terri Guillemets

There ought to be a way to combine
"autumn" and "morning" into one word,
the combination of the two
is special enough to be its own entity.

 ~Terri Guillemets
