All You Need Is Love

You "Can't Buy Me Love." And "Any Time at All" I know my family loves me. Still, "Imagine" my surprise when Randy, Jill, Eric & Brent decided to "Come Together" to buy tickets to a series of Broadway traveling shows for my last birthday.

I had to really "Get Back" to remember some of the songs of my youth. And while it was end of my "Magical Mystery Tour" of Broadway shows, I am glad "The Two of Us" heard a little "Rock and Roll Music" last night. "I Feel Fine" after "Yesterday."

Have you figured out all the references yet? We saw "Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles" at Century II last night. This was the last of the four shows in my Broadway series.

The Beatles were actually a little before my time. Really. I was only 7 years old when they made their appearance on the February 9, 1964, Ed Sullivan show. I certainly wasn't one of the screaming, fainting teens who loved them.

But who doesn't know at least a few Beatles songs?

Television ads before the Wichita appearance showed a fairly mature looking audience singing along. So I was curious where we would fit in the age demographic for the show last night.

Before the show, I figured that "When I'm Sixty Four" I would be closer to the median age of the audience. "I Should Have Known Better." As with all the Wichita Broadway series, there was a good mix of ages. The band had youth under 16 stand up before the "64" song, and there were several scattered throughout the auditorium. As they indicated, there were three generations who knew the words to "Hey Jude!" (Not that they are that tough!)

"Do You Want to Know a Secret?" With "All My Loving," I thank my family for this great present! "Because" I love all my readers, "From Me to You," this YouTube video will give you some "Help" in knowing what we saw on stage in Wichita last night.

"The End."

(And, yes, all the songs in quotations are Beatles tunes - though not all were performed last night!)
